FAQ's

Could you explain what an interview, guest blog, spotlight, etc is?

A guest post is a post written by the author. It can be about themselves, their writing, or book. It can get as creative as even a post from one of the characters in the book that is being promoted. If you need help coming up with topics we can ask the hosts, or I have a list of possible topics you can look at.

With an interview the author is supplied a list of questions from the host to answer.

A character interview is where either the author interviews their own characters or the host sends a list of questions (if the book is supplied to the host).

A book spotlight is when the host uses the information on the marketing sheet. They will share your book cover, blurb, excerpt, author bio, and links. Possibly even a book trailer if one is supplied.

What is a tour? How much time will a tour take?

A tour is made up of interviews, character interviews, guest blogs, book spotlights, or any type of posts the author would like. A tour can be as short or as long as an author is interested. As for time, it depends on the length, type of spots, and how many commitments the author is willing to do a week.

What is the waiting period before a tour can be scheduled?

Due to the demand, we are booking approximately two months in advance at this time. If you require an emergency tour please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate you if space permits. We suggest you book early as spots fill quickly.

How long does it take to schedule a tour?

Depending on the length it could take anywhere from a few days to two weeks.

Can I change the dates of my tour?

Once planning has already begun and hosts scheduled, tour dates cannot be changed.

What happens if a blogger cancels? Will you reschedule?

Depending on the reason a blogger cancelled and the number of spots on your tour it could be rescheduled. If a blogger cancels because the post was not to them in time it will not be rescheduled unless it was our fault for the delay. In cases where it was not put up because of blogger/wordpress/or other host downtime, then we will work with the host to reschedule it. If there was an emergency, we will work with you.

When do I have to pay for your services? How do you accept payment?

Payment must be completed before services are started. Currently I only accept payment via PayPal.

Do you have a refund policy?

All payments are non-refundable. However if for some reason the tour cannot be fully booked, we will give a partial refund or work with the author to make other arrangements for unfilled tour dates.

Do you offer full-time client services?

Yes we do. Normally we mold the full-time client package to fit the author’s needs. If you are interested in learning more about becoming a full-time client please email us at marissa@sizzlingpr.com

If you send out my book for reviews am I guarantee to get positive reviews?

There are no guarantees when it comes to reviews. Reviews are based on your book, and will be the reviewer’s honest opinion. You are not buying good reviews; you are buying the service of Sizzling PR sending out your book(s) for review.

Am I required to do a giveaway at each spot?

Short answer no. Long answer in my experience giveaways generate more traffic and interest than those without.
